OPG

OPG is a panoramic x-ray of the teeth of the upper and lower jaw. It shows a flat 2D image of a semicircle from ear to ear. Panoramic x-rays allow you to take pictures from different angles to make up a composite panoramic image where the maxilla (upper jaw) and mandible (mandible) are within the viewing area. Structures outside the rendered area are blurred. At some point in your dental treatment, your dentist will likely take OPG.
